Hitachi Energy is seeking a Director of Field Service Operations - North America . This is a remote-based role . The role will lead Field Service Operations for Hitachi's BU Service in the North American (NAM) region and will be a pivotal leader responsible for optimizing field service operations . This cross-functional role demands a strategic thinker who can drive excellent service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction . The role will lead, develop, and manage regional field service teams, ensuring alignment with Hitachi's safety and quality standards, fostering a culture of accountability, and championing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Execution : Develop and implement strategic plans for field service operations aligned with company goals and regional objectives.
2. Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and empower field service managers and teams across regions, fostering a high-performance culture.
3. Operational Excellence & Safety : Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
4. Process Optimization : Identify and address operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies to streamline workflows.
5. Continuous Improvement : Support initiatives like Lean or Six Sigma to improve processes and outcomes.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with sales and account management teams to support customer retention, growth, and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. A Masters degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience :
  • 10+ years in field operations.
  • 3-5 years in senior management overseeing field service teams.
  • Proven experience in the electrical service industry is essential.
