The Fundraising & Development Coordinator will support the Eastern Region of Virginia, including the Richmond and Charlottesville metropolitan areas and communities eastward. This hybrid position requires occasional travel to a DePaul office within the region and to other locations as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Fundraising & Development Coordinator will build relationships through interpersonal connections, manage grant and foundation cultivation, and manage and execute projects designed to cultivate passionate followers of DePaul by inviting charitable contributions through individual donations, grants, corporate sponsorships, planned gifts, and events. Responsibilities include research and prospect identification, cultivation and communication, proposal development, donor stewardship, database management, communications and outreach activities, and development-related volunteer relations. This person must be able to represent the organization well in the community and work collaboratively in all settings.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
The Fundraising & Development Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:
A Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience with four years of experience in fundraising, or related business development and marketing experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described herein represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the position. The employee regularly works in an office environment and occasionally in the field. Work is generally completed regularly during weekdays; however, daily work hours may vary, and occasionally, weekend and evening hours may be needed. Completion of job duties outside of normally scheduled hours may be required. Work is subject to frequent interruptions, and noise levels vary based on the work locations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that an employee in this position must meet, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the essential functions successfully. Physical activities required are finger dexterity necessary to operate equipment used in the position, effective communication and seeing or hearing verbal cues. Walking from one-third to two-thirds of the time, sitting from one-third to two-thirds of the time, standing from one-third to two-thirds of the time, bending from one-third to two-thirds of the time, stooping rarely, lifting/pushing/pulling no more than ten pounds is required. When accessing various locations, the incumbent must climb stairs and ramps. This position requires driving approximately twenty percent of the employee's working time to various locations. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
