What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Lead research, development, analysis, and modeling of Electro-Optical (EO) Infrared (IR) phenomena
• Manage a team of subject matter experts and early-career staff in cutting-edge technology projects
• Analyze new missions and understand system-level implications of technological advancements
• Develop new system architectures and evaluate the performance of existing systems
• Communicate complex ideas and findings to diverse audiences, including customers and team members

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in physics, applied physics, applied mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in remote sensing, electromagnetic observables, or modeling and simulation of physical systems
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for reports and presentations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
• US Citizenship

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• PhD in a related field
• Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) projects and missions
• Proficient in Matlab or Python, with experience in Linux environments
• Knowledge in machine learning, deep learning, and advanced processing techniques
• Familiarity with high-speed aerothermodynamics modeling and simulation
