Summary: The Restitution Program is responsible for the collection and disbursement of court-ordered restitution to crime victims for unreimbursed expenses related to the crime.Responsibilities: Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients.Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients. Coach and guide staff in their client practice that reflects these approaches.Enters new cases into the Restitution database for processingEstablishes and maintains client files and recordsProcesses daily accounts receivables and payablesPrepares daily recording schedules (e.g., log books, cash receipts, cash disbursements)Responds to general payment inquires via email and/or phoneInforms supervisor of any collection on a past due accounts and any accounts in arrearsRemits client late noticesPrepares deposit slips and makes bank deposits as neededPerforms administrative tasks such as filing, sorting, distributing mail, copying, and faxingProvides assistance at other restitution program locations, as neededOther ad hoc duties, as directed by supervisorQualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required.
