As a Staff Software Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and optimizing core features of a widely used healthcare application. You'll lead critical engineering initiatives, including re-architecting the app's home screen to enhance its performance, scalability, and usability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll play a pivotal role in setting technical direction and mentoring peers to achieve engineering excellence. Your Background We're looking for a developer who excels at building scalable mobile applications while collaborating effectively with teams. You've probably:
- Built and maintained consumer mobile apps with significant daily user engagement.
- Contributed to architectural decisions that improved app reliability and performance.
- Worked closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features on time.
- Balanced hands-on coding with collaboration, helping peers grow through mentorship.
Technical Depth You should be a
React Native expert with experience in TypeScript. A solid understanding of mobile performance optimization, modular architecture, and RESTful API design is crucial.
Growth Areas: If you also have experience with tools like GraphQL, Node.js, or familiarity with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST)great! If not, you'll have the opportunity to develop these skills.
Most importantly, your strength lies in solving technical challenges pragmatically and effectively. Requirements - 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3-4 years focused on complex consumer mobile application development using React Native.
- Demonstrated success working on high-traffic apps or systems with real-world usage.
- Experience collaborating with teams to improve technical workflows and deliver quality features.
- Strong understanding of mobile debugging, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
The Role & Impact Technical Leadership - Lead the re-architecture of app modules, reducing complexity and improving performance.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using React Native, TypeScript, and related technologies.
- Participate in code reviews and system design evaluations to ensure technical excellence.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver innovative and reliable features.
Technical Challenges - Optimize performance for millions of daily users across a diverse range of devices.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2.
- Implement modular systems to accelerate feature delivery and development cycles.
- Simplify legacy systems to enhance maintainability while preserving essential workflows.
