Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for an LDRP unit in Idaho. This is a dynamic role that includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum Couplet Care, C-Section circulation/recovery, and triage. Travelers will have orientation and support from resource nurses and charge nurses. Hospital follows AWHONN staffing standards, with embedded NICU presence in the LDRP model.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in LDRP setting including labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and triage
• Circulate and recover C-Sections
• Attend deliveries and complete newborn care within the first hour
• Manage titratable drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin as needed)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including OB hospitalists, Neonatal NPs, anesthesia, CSTs, and CNAs
• Follow AWHONN staffing standards (1:1 labor, 1:3 postpartum couplets, 1:3 triage)
• Float to other St. Luke’s Treasure Valley sites (Meridian, Nampa, Boise) as needed in primary skill set

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience (will accept 1 year for consideration)
• 1 year of Mother-Baby experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Must have experience with deliveries, newborn stabilization, postpartum couplet care, triage, magnesium, and circulating C-Sections
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE
• EMR: Epic (EFM System: Centricity)

Important Notes

• Schedule: 7a-7p / 7p-7a
• Scrubs: Hospital-issued, must change in/out each shift (no acrylic/gel nails)
• No call required; no set holiday/weekend requirements for travelers
