Job Description & Requirements CONTRACT - RN - Operating Room (OR) - CHARGE NURSE -
13 WEEKS
MON-FRI 2:30P-11:00P Mon-Fri 230p-11p
Meditech experience, charge nurse experience
Shift: varied based on need, 8s, 10s or 12s
Call Requirements: Yes
Weekends: possibly, based on need
Must have: General surgery, orthopedic and neuro surgery experience both RN and Tech
Basic general OR knowledge of more than one year
If candidate is for CVOR they MUST have at least two years of CVOR experience, to include: ALL ADULT open heart cases, OPEN and ENDOVASCULAR cases. This includes open and endovascular Triple A surgery, and must be willing to work with the Cath lab on cases such as TAVR (trans aortic valve replacement). This includes RN and Tech.
Preferred or nice to have: Trauma experience both RN and Tech Vascular surgery exp, RN and Tech. Cases such as fistula creations, and endarterectomy surgery

Number of Beds- 11 operating rooms
Number of Staff- 40 on all shifts
Type of staff: Day Shift- 1 charge, 11 RNs, 11 Techs, 2 PCTs. Night Shift- Mon-Thurs 2 RNs, 2 Techs, Fri-Sun 1 RN, 1 Tech. Weekend- 1 charge, 2 RNs, 2 CSTs, 1 PCY
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Type of equipment: varied OR equipment to include Microscopes, Robot Divincii Xi, Mako Robot, Laparoscopic Stryker tower, Stealth, endovascular Hybrid room equipment
EMR: Meditech
List typical procedures performed on unit(s): X-lif, A-lif, Decompression, ACDF, Craniotomy, Robotic surgery (thoracic, general, gyn and urology), Ortho Trauma, total joints (Mako Robot), general open and laparoscopic surgery. CV- CABG, valves, surgies of the Aorta (to include traumas), TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, EVAR, and open vascular cases.
Best personality Fit: Willing to be flexible when it comes be in different types of rooms with different cases Can work with the staff and adapt to the way we work in our departments, with the understanding that all places are not the same.
