✅ Assignment Overview

• Position : RN – PCU (Telemetry / Intermediate Care)
• Location : Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC
• Shift : Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule :
  • 3x12s or 4x12s per week
  • 48 hours/week guaranteed
  • Must be available EOH (Every Other Holiday) and EOW (Every Other Weekend)

  • May be placed on-call for 1x12-hr shift per pay period in case of low census (1-hour report-in time required)

? Requirements & Qualifications

? Licensure & Certifications (Required)

• Active RN license (NC or compact)
• BLS – AHA
• ACLS
• NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
• PALS – NOT required (not mentioned)

? Experience

• Minimum : 1 year of Intermediate Care/PCU experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Cardiac care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travel RN experience required
• Charge experience : Preferred

• Unit Type : Hybrid PCU/Telemetry
• Total Beds : 28
  • 20-bed telemetry unit
  • 8-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Patient Population :
  • Cardiovascular, medical-surgical
  • Heart failure, post-cath (with/without PCI), chest pain rule-out, post pacemaker/defibrillator
• Staffing Ratios :
  • Days : 1:4–5
  • Nights : 1:5–6
• Charting System : Epic

? Skills Required

Must be experienced in:

• Telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
• Cardiac drips , vasoactive drips (no titration)
• CPAP/BiPAP , HFNC
• Post-Cath, TR band , pacemakers
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Feeding tubes , central/PICC lines , arterial line mgmt. , chest tubes
• Anticoagulation protocols , IV insulin protocols
• Rapid response team use
• Tracheostomy management , wound care/Wound Vac
• Post-MI care , renal failure , hemodialysis prep

• Nursys License Verification – Must be recent (within 1 week)
